Did You Know?! - Superbowl Style

If I've said it once, I'll say it again, every girl needs
Brains AND Beauty to impress a crowd.
With the Superbowl upon us (this Sunday, February 3rd) I thought it best to share some fun and interesting facts that any sports fan could appreciate...

The Super Bowl is the eighth-biggest day in beer sales for the U.S., amounting to 49.3 million cases, most consumed at home and not at bars.

Holy guacamole!
Tons of avocados are sold during the Super Bowl, used in everything from seven-layer dip to guacamole. In 2011, around 69.6 million pounds of avocados were sold for the Super Bowl! (an insane amount compared to the average weekly avocado shipments of 20 million pounds).

Pizza Hut's 2012 Super Bowl statistics claimed that over 2 million pizzas were sold on game day. That's a lot of peperoni...

Did you know!?

Being a social butterfly is hard work!
So many times at Dinner Parties or social events I am searching for what to say.
Did You Know is a fun way to inform our readers of insightful, amusing and interesting facts, so you don't just have to talk about the weather next time you have a get-together...

DID YOU KNOW that Antarctica is the only land on our planet that is not owned by any country.
Ninety percent of the world's ice covers Antarctica .
This ice also represents seventy percent of all the fresh water in the world.
As strange as it sounds, however, Antarctica is essentially a desert; the average yearly total precipitation is about two inches.
Although covered with ice (all but 0.4% of it is ice.), Antarctica is the driest place on the planet, with an absolute humidity lower than the Gobi desert.

MLK- Did you know?

Just in case you don't recall the reason we celebrate the civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr.,
below you can find some of his seriously inspirational and exceptional quotes.

That way you can be educated and gorgeous at your next Dinner Party

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." — 1963

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." — 1963
