(the sunny yellow bistro chairs below are just divine!)

TAKE IT AWAY JOANNA! ---- >

Hello, everyone! It's Joanna from Arcadian Home blog, a fantastic online place to find lots of interior design inspiration, including ideas for decorative accessories, wall art and wonderful light fixtures from stunning foyer lighting to ornate wall scones for the powder room. I’m so excited to be sharing a guest post about dining outside here at Dinner Party Talk today.

For your party planning and design inspiration, I’ve brought along eight images of outdoor rooms and tablescapes. Please enjoy!

Outdoor Dining

Black and white stripes look chic on toss pillows and the piping detail on gray cushions in this deck dining space. Potted greenery is a great accent, while the tablescape would be just as perfect in the dining room as it is here.
Outdoor Dining

A trio of modern pendant lights hangs low over this outdoor buffet table. Dining outside offers a great opportunity to use a lovely combination of contemporary and rustic furnishings, decorative accessories, dishes and serving pieces.

Outdoor Dining

What a stunning place to dine outside in the city. Sunny yellow bistro chairs surround the table, with a backdrop of gnarled wisteria vines and an awesome view.

Outdoor Dining

Planning a coastal vacation? This nautical party setting is dining down by the sea at its best. How perfect for a Fourth of July get together with family and friends!

Outdoor Dining

Fresh Georgia peaches on the table evoke memories of lazy summer days gone by. What a pretty vignette for lunch with the ladies!
Outdoor Dining

This ethereal outdoor dining space is lit by a modern pendant light covered in tiny branches—a very clever idea. Green and white always works as a color palette for a celebration outside.

Outdoor Dining

With a lovely view of San Francisco, this balcony dining space is covered by a canvas canopy with an ornate chandelier hung from the center. It's such a festive look in lime and orange.

Outdoor Dining

We leave you with this amazing curved outdoor space. It would work beautifully as a setting for a quiet evening for two or cocktails for twenty. The use of wood and tiles to form gathering areas makes for an awesome view from above. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Decorating Decisions...

In a pinch?
Need some fun & easy decorating ideas for your Labor Day Dinner Party!?

Hang paper chains from a shower curtain to liven up any doorway!

Make colored ice cubs with Kool-Aid to add a 'pop!' of color and really tie-in any color palette

Happy Sipping!

Another great "drink trick" is the garnishing!
Add ANY kind of fruit slice to the rim on the glass
to really make your party festive!

Have extra cupcake liners?!
String some together to make a DIY garland!

Finally, decorating existing chairs with ribbons or bows only takes a little extra effort, but can really make your space feel festive!
